HOT ! Moonstar All Weather Vulcanized Rubber Shoes Brown

These waterproof All-Weather Sneakers are sewn and assembled completely by hand in the Moonstar\'s Kurume factory located in western Japan. The factory has been up and running since 1873 and takes pride in making durable and long lasting sneakers! These shoes are produced using a so called “kay-ryu“ method, a traditional vulcanization process in which natural rubber is used.  Vulcanised rubber is a process that was invented back in 1844 and the basics of the method is that natural rubber is mixed with sulphur and then heated. The heating will change the chemical structure of the material creating crosslinks between polymers to make them stronger and more durable! The name is inspired by Vulcan who is the Roman god of fire.

The thick canvas fabric is made of 100% cotton and it is bonded to the rubber sole in a process that will ensure that your feet are kept dry when the shoes are worn in wet and rainy weather. They’re also finished off with an extra thick rubber toe cap that serves as a toe guard for added safety and durability.

We consider these shoes to be the perfect biking shoes, as an all weather protection sure can come handy during the daily commute! The pattern under the sole is actually made to provide a superb grip on the pedals of a bike. We have tried them during our daily bike rides to and from the store and can assure you that the shoes almost stick as glue to the pedals making you feel connected to the bike in a most unique way!They are also great worn as a sailing shoe and will keep your feet dry if you\'re heading out to sea. If you plan to explore the forest looking for berries or mushrooms during moist autumn days they will also be a good choice!  Please note that Moonstar only comes in even US sizes and there is no size corresponding to a EUR 42. They also run slightly small in sizes so if you find yourself in between two sizes we recommend you to size up in these.
