A beauty to behold. This original 1940\'s black crepe silk dress, embellished with claw set cobalt blue rhinestones, is just the piece to add to your cocktail wardrobe. 

The rounded neckline of the dress is framed by a border of claw set rhinestones. The simple shoulder line, sets off the short length inset sleeves, which are embellished with scattered claw set rhinestones and edged with a border of rhinestones along each cuff. The fitted bodice, is accented by Princess seams which run along either side of the bodice, accenting the bust-line whilst setting off the cinched in waistline. The elegant scattered pattern of rhinestones along the bodice, ends in a curved panel design below the waistline, joining the back of the dress, where a delicate matching crepe silk bow draws in the waistline. The simple skirt line, completes this piece in a timeless and iconic silhouette.

Closures: This dress fastens along the back with a 23.5 inch metal zip and back crepe silk ties 

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. There is a small an sympathetic dar along the back of the left hand side of the bodice near the sleeve seam and three internal patches placed within the sleeve, these were positioned previously and we believe they conceal areas of rhinestone loss. Patches are also placed internally along the armpit of the right hand side sleeve to conceal rhinestone loss. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn. Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
