This extra-long throw pillow was created in collaboration with Tensira — a celebrated textile house founded by a Guinean and Finnish husband-and-wife duo that blends Scandinavian aesthetics with ancestral West African weaving and dyeing techniques. We dreamed up Aubrey’s large-scale striped motif in-house, drawing on the classic awning stripes found at many of our favorite coastal getaways. Tensira’s team of skilled craftswomen then brought this design to life using cotton that was spun and woven by hand and traditional indigo-dyeing techniques that have been passed down for generations. Finally, we finished it off with a plush down and feather pillow insert for soft, sink-in comfort.
