The 2CB5S water filter is five micron carbon block media with a built-in scale inhibitor.
We have three models of 2CB5 filters:
Because this is a 5-micron carbon block filter, it will provide longer life than Everpure 1/2 micron precoat water filters. With 5-micron filters you are giving up NSF standard 53 for cyst reduction, for longer filter life.
Examples of cysts are Cryptosporidium and Giardia Lamblia. You will still get exceptional chlorine and particulate reduction as well as scale control.
You can also upgrade to the 4CB5S water filter if you require greater capacity. The 4CB5S is approx. twice the length and has twice the capacity.

- 2CB5 - for cold drink applications
- 2CB5S - for scale control
2CB5K - for slime and scale control
