Detailed information on Phoenix Dan Cong Red Leaf Oolong

Name: Phoenix Dan Cong Red Leaf Origin: Chaozhou, Guangdong, China
Sort: Oolong Tea Level: Premium
Season: Spring & Winter Caffeine Level: ☆☆☆☆
Body: Tight and even strips, dark brown bloom glossy with honey aroma Liquor: Golden bright, fresh floral note, long-lasting honey fragrance, mellow and smooth
Storage: Store in airtight, opaque packaging; in cool, dry place Shelf Life: 24 months

Phoenix Dan Cong Red Leaf produces bright yellow, honey-colored tea soup with rich honey aroma, sweet and moist taste, and long-lasting aftertaste. It has a much lower yield than white leaf Dancong, so the price is slightly higher. The best quality is in spring and winter, with yellowish-brown eel-like color, even and slender strips, mellow taste and floral honey scent.

The tea trees grow in a pollution-free, wild-like environment in barren sandy soil. The tender yellow leaves turn brownish-yellow after careful processing, unlike other dark black oolong strips. Local farmers also call it Red Leaf Tea.
