HOT ! Colon Support Tincture

Colon Support Tea is an original formulation by Barbara O\'Neill to assist in keeping the bowels regular. A combination of herbs that gently restore and revive colon function. 

We have taken this formula and made it into a dual extract tincture for ease of use. Herbs are combined wth Organic Ethyl Alcohol for a six week infusion, followed by a water extraction. This combination results in a powerful tincture that has captured the restorative properties of the herbs.

Ingredient insight:

Cascara Sagrada -  (Frangula purshiana) Naturally occurring anthraquinones, that trigger contractions in the colon, stimulate peristalsis.

Liquorice root - (Glycyrrhiza glabra) contains the beneficial compound glycyrrhizin, which has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Buckthorn - (Rhamnus catharicus) a traditional purgative, works by stimulating rather than irritating to encourage bowel movements. The naturally occurring chemical compounds responsible for this laxative effect are anthraquinone and emodin. 

Directions for use:

1/2 tsp (2.5ml or one dropper) taken before bed, preferably on an empty stomach, in 1/4 cup of warm water. Increase dose in 1/2 tsp increments as needed.
