About This

• Mullein leaf has a long history of use in herbal folklore and mostly for the management of respiratory ailments such as coughs, hoarseness, colds, earaches, flu symptoms, allergies, and sore throat. Mullein can also be used topically to soothe wounds, burns, and irritated skin.


• Mullein is a leafy, fuzzy plant that grows in a rosette shape with a shoot emerging from the middle that produces small, densely grouped, yellow flowers. The flannel-like leaves are harvested in the second year.


• Mullein Leaf, or scientifically referred to as Verbascum Thapsus, is a wildflower native to much of Europe and Asia which can grow almost anywhere. Because of its thick, soft leaves, it is also called Grandmother\'s Flannel and Our Lady\'s Flannel. The word Mullein is said to be derived from the Middle English word for \"soft\" which is moleyne.
