HOT ! Antique Green Watermelon Chevron Trade Beads Necklace

An antique African Watermelon Chevron Trade Bead necklace. It is composed of antique watermelon glass tube beads. The Venetian striped chevron beads are from the 1800\'s. These chevron barrel beads are a dark green color with stripes; they have a white and red core. These antique beads were handmade in Venice using traditional bead making techniques and later traded to Africa. Venetian Chevron or star beads are the most beautiful, recognizable and collectible of all of the African \"Trade Beads\". The beads are 8mm in diameter with a length that varies from 9-20mm. The beads are strung on traditional raffia and could be worn as is or used in new creations.

There are a few dings and chips on these antique beads, which add to their beauty and story.
