A Brutalist Opal Pendant of Pieces Lost, Named After the Andrea Doria

Crafted entirely from a jeweler\'s bench scrap—from the sterling silver chain, to the pieces of ring sizing stock, to the cracked Australian opal itself—every detail of this brutalist pendant was added with intention.  The large jump ring bail can fit up to 8 millimeters; the piece itself, not including the jump ring, measures 1.6 inches long by 1.33 inches wide.  Age has given the silver a dark, sandy, rusty-looking patina and texture.
