A striking antique prie-dieu chair upholstered in deep red fabric, framed by turned barley-twist columns and studded detailing. Originally designed for devotional use, the tall back and low seat proportions give this piece a distinctive ecclesiastical presence.
Now more commonly used as a dramatic accent chair, prie-dieu chairs are particularly suited to bedrooms, studies, or atmospheric interiors where sculptural form is valued as much as function.
Condition:Structurally sound. Suitable for continued use or for reupholstery.
