With the \"Kala-Kattila\" (\"Fish Kettle\"), Sarpaneva wanted to bring cooking to the forefront of good taste in the late 1960s – literally. The elongated body made of heavy cast iron accommodates whole fish or roasts, and the raised ends serve as elegant carrying handles. The enameled lid is virtually airtight and features a central opening that serves as a handle and steam vent. Thanks to the bright red enamel, the casserole is an eye-catcher on all types of stovetops (including induction) or in the center of a set table.
