Our 1.2mm-wide rope chain comes in a lustrous 14Kt yellow gold filled finish, in several handy by-the-foot spool sizes. Rope chains are made of oval links interwoven through multiple connections, producing a spiral rope-like effect. This is one of the most versatile chain types, and is considered very strong for its relative width and link size. Rope chains are a popular unisex chain, either by themselves or as supports for pendants and charms. When using rope chain, it\'s important to always connect jump rings, wire loops, and other findings to two chain links at once, instead of one (see close-up in our pictures). This continues the interconnected look of the chain, and helps improve strength at the join. This may mean using a bigger circular or oval jump ring, to cover the distance.
